Last Wednesday Tony Burnett and I met with Carol Ann Fraley and Don Combs of Grayson RECC about an entrepreneurial showcase which is a spin off of the roundtable held in December. The preliminary name is “Home Grown and Home made...the East Kentucky Market” We named a lot of disciplines to showcase. We want to invite buyers and have it open to the public as well. Along with selling their products, entrepreneurs will be available to counsel others who might want to start a business. The electric co-ops will furnish all the necessary funding for the trade show or showcase and Tony and I will convene a planning group that will include one person from each of the counties involved, the service area of the Co-ops. It’s going to be a big project and I think it will have a lot of impact. Each county will have its own planning team. We’re following the model we created for the quilt trail. It seemed to work very well.
The varied opinions you'll see expressed on this site belong to the author. Readers should not infer that they reflect the opinions of the author's employer, the other authors, or the Kentucky Entrepreneurial Coaches Institute in general.
This is an organization consisting of more than ___ headstrong, intelligent, active individuals. They probably have as many seperate opinions as there are members. The one commonality they have is that they believe in entrepreneurship as an economic development strategy. But please don't infer that their indivdual opinions are anything more.
This Blog is dedicate to the memory of Becky Fogle
Becky Fogle was among the first group of KECI Coaches.
